A little did we know about there are special rates for children with special needs in Singapore. Good news, there is plenty of it.

These are the attractions that readily follow the Singapore Government’s lead supporting disability inclusion that includes invisible disability (Straits Times : ‘Your son has special needs? So do my dogs’)

Thank you for the effort and generosity given by Singapore attractions to make the outing with special needs children filled with acceptance in society.

Here’s the list of special rate tickets for children with special needs:


Universal Studio Singapore

  • $13 for Standard
  • $11 for Concession – Seniors (55 and above), Students, National Servicemen (NSF), Persons with Disabilities and Domestic Workers.
  • Simply show us your IC / Student ID / Sg Enable Transport Concession Card / SADeaf Hearing Help Card / Work Permit at our Box Office for us to verify your identity, and you’re all set!

KidZania Singapore

KidZania Singapore has gone extra mile designing a Parent Assistance Pass besides their discounted rate. This is very much appreciated by special need community.

Parent Assistance Pass

1)      How to apply

Parents with special needs kids who require parental support and guidance during the role-play activity would be able to apply for the Parent Assistance Pass over at our Check-in counters on their day of visit.

2)      Show of Proof

A Disability Concession Card and/or other relevant documents of proof must be shown as part of the application process

3)      Queuing Assistance

Parents with Parent Assistance Pass would be allowed to queue on behalf of their kids, and would also be allowed to enter the role-play establishment. This is an exception made by KidZania Singapore in acknowledgement of the specific assistance that kids with special needs would require during their role-play experience.

Photography is strictly not allowed inside the role-play establishment.

4)      Ticket Discounts

Kids with special needs are entitled to a 30% discount of their walk-in tickets. Tickets must be purchase on-site at KidZania Singapore, and it is not applicable for online ticket purchase.

Sentosa

  • Free admission for DDR ID cardholder on weekdays (excluding public holidays) into the 4 attractions below:
  • To enjoy the above privilege, present your DDR ID Card to the staff at the entrance of each attraction.
  • Complimentary admission is extended to up to two accompanying caregivers per cardholder.
  • Applicable for admission into the attractions stated above only. Island Admissions via vehicular gantry, Sentosa Express or Singapore Cable Car are charged separately.
  • This privilege is not applicable for group visits (visits with more than 5 card holders). For group visits, please write in to guest_services@sentosa.com.sg.

Singapore DUCKtour Pte Ltd

  • Free admission for cardholder into DUCKtour and HiPPO Bus Tour.
  • 20% discount on admission for 2 accompanying caregivers.
  • Applicable only on weekdays (not applicable on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday).
  • From 1 Jun 2015 to 31 Dec 2016.
  • Boarding Location Suntec City.
  • Operating Hour 10am to 6pm.
  • To redeem the above privilege, call 6338 6877 to book & reserve your tour by quoting DDR Card number.
  • This privilege is not redeemable directly over DUCK & HiPPO counter.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore

  • Free admission for cardholder into River Safari, Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and Singapore Zoo.
  • 20% discount on admission for 2 accompanying caregivers.
  • Applicable for admission only. Tram rides are charged separately.


Singapore Discovery Centre 

  • 50% Discount on SDC Admission and Admission Plus tickets for DDR ID Card Holders.
  • 20% discount on SDC Admission and Admission Plus tickets for Caregivers of DDR ID Card Holders (max 2 caregivers per DDR ID card Holder)


Skyhigh Trampoline Park

  • 1 hour of free jumping session during birthday month.
  • $2 off regular ticket for cardholder and 1 caregiver.
  • Check booking status on website http://www.skyhigh.com.sg or call 9029 6317 / 6635 7124 to ensure session availability.
  • Note that jumping may be dangerous for guests with physical disability.
  • Liability waiver form must be filled before entering court. This form is available on the website.
  • Present DDR card at counter for verification.


Katapult Trampoline Park

  • 20% discount upon purchase
  • From now till April 2018, we offer 20% off retail jump rates (non peak $15/hr & peak $19/hr)
  • One adult gets to jump free with cardholder
  • Trampoline grip socks are required. If the jumper or adult does not have, they can purchase it @ $2 per pair

National Heritage Board Museums and Heritage Institutions

With effect from 1 June 2016, public museums, including NHB museums and heritage institutions, the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and the National Gallery Singapore, will extend concessions to persons with disabilities (PWDs). For NHB museums and heritage institutions, Singaporean/PR PWDs will have free admission to special exhibitions. This is on top of the existing free admission to permanent galleries at all NHB museums for citizens and PRs. Foreign PWDs will enjoy a special concession admission rate to both permanent and special exhibitions. For SAM and the National Gallery Singapore, Singaporean/PR PWDs and foreign PWDs will have special concession admission rates to both permanent and special exhibitions. The first caregiver of PWD visitors will also enter all museums free of charge, regardless of their nationality.

  1. I am a mother with a daughter, 19, with special needs. I appreciate the thoughtful of the above organisations giving special concession rate for the entrance tickets to people with special needs and their care giver. However, it only benefited mostly by DDR ID card holders. Those with SG Enabled card are denied of most of the concessions. This is very disappointing. For those holding Sg Enabled card do have special needs and they are no more in special need school due to their age and neither can they work due to their challenges.

    I hope the concession can also extend to Sg Enabled card holders as it would ease the financial burden of the family thus encourages them to bring their kid to out and giving them the exposure opportunity of social interaction.
